- Ability to set up and run CNC equipment utilizing Fanuc controls.
- Ability to follow work instructions by maintaining specifications, by observing milling, drilling, tapping, grooving and cutting operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Ability to read blue prints and inspect parts. Check accuracy of work against blueprints.
- Ability to work 2nd shift.
- Ability to read mics, calipers, OD's, tool pre-setting/comparators, dial bore gauges and make proper tooling offsets in the machine tool, as well as, proper speeds & feeds.
- 3-5 years of CNC Machine operating/set-up experience.
- Background of machining of castings, iron castings preferred.
- Previous lathe and milling experience preferred.
- Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Associate degree from a 2 year college or technical school or 2-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education & experience.
