    Job Summary

    As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our HVAC R&D Laboratory, responsible for leading and conducting rigorous testing and validation of our commercial HVAC Chiller products. You will lead test and facility upgrade projects with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to ensure the highest quality and performance of our HVAC solutions. This position requires expertise in Chiller test methodologies, equipment selection, measurement and DAQ systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Be the Subject Matter Expert on laboratory tests for Chiller line of HVAC products.
    • Lead the planning and execution of test programs, ensuring adherence to industry standards, guidelines, and safety protocols.
    • Own test facilities' capability and ensure equipment has the necessary functions and reliability to produce quality data.
    • Develop and implement appropriate test methodologies, facility upgrades, and procedures to validate product performance, reliability, functional requirements, and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing, providing technical expertise and guidance.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes related to HVAC testing methodologies and standards.
    • Provide expertise on advanced data acquisition equipment and test automation.
    • Develop measurement systems for laboratory testing.
    • Collaborate with DAQ software development team to incorporate new technologies and instrumentations in to the DAQ.
    • Some overnight travel (10%)

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in engineering or Applied Sciences and 5 years of HVAC&R or testing experience is required.

    Key Competencies:

    • Must be a highly motivated and team player.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • Ability to think outside of box and demonstrated efficiency improvements in past roles.
    • Experience with test methodologies and standards for HVAC Chiller products, including AHRI, ASHRAE, UL and other applicable guidelines.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with test automation, programming, or scripting languages is a plus.
