Job DescriptionJob Title: Die Setter

Position Summary

• The die setter is responsible for the setup and change over of metal stamping dies to support production.

Position Responsibilities

• Operates the overhead crane to move dies on and off bolsters.
• Connects die to the crane by attaching the chains, hooks, and lifting rings properly.
• Positions dies on bolster in accordance to T-Slot call outs
• Ability to tighten all T-nuts to a safe torque
• Connects all transfer end of arm tooling to transfer rails
• Removes all slugs and scrap from bolster/ bolster tracks and diamond plate.
• Maintains a clean die cart, work place and surrounding area.
• Inspect crane chains, hooks, and lifting rings for any physical defects.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• Must have 2 years of metal stamping die setting experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, daily schedule, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must have hi-lo and crane certifications
