    Description

    Description:

    A BS/MS biologist or at least 2 years lab assay or field experience is needed with strong technical skills to support studies to evaluate the safety of BCS products. Key responsibilities include:

    1. Support field studies by identifying and enumerating field-collected insects to family/genus level as part of the ecological risk assessment for biotechnology-derived plant products.

    2. Conduct development of laboratory insect bioassays to meet GLP and quality standards.

    3. Provide quality control support for data and reports.

    4. Ensure general lab and field equipment maintenance.

    5. Support additional field and lab activities as needed.

    Desired skills include:

    1 strong insect identification skills

    2 fundamental experience in related areas of environmental biology such as entomology or toxicology

    3 ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic team-based environment strong basic laboratory or field and experimental design skills

    4 strong organizational and data documentation skills experience with electronic data systems and

    5 attention to detail and strong writing skills. Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices or quality system best practices is beneficial but not required.
