    Job Summary:

    This position will be responsible for providing in person front counter and through the phone services to the public for the Region 2 (Flagstaff) office.

    Job Duties:

    -Front counter assistance will include issuing licenses, tags, and stamps in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with A.R.S. Title 17 and Game and Fish Commission Rules
    -Provide assistance in registering watercraft and inspects watercraft for compliance with A.R.S Title 5, Game and Fish Commission Rules and Federal requirements
    -Respond to public inquiries in person, through mail, through the internet and over telephone, regarding complex watercraft registration requirements and procedures, State, Federal and Department policies and procedures
    -Enter data into database, collects fees and enters transactions into a PC cash register (including cash security)
    -Prepare daily reconciliation reports and balances against daily receipts and PC cash register reports
    -Respond to public inquiries in person, through the internet and over telephone related to urban wildlife nuisances
    -Accept injured wildlife (when necessary) and coordinates transport to rehabilitator or veterinarian
    -Works with regional budgets, tracking expenditures, inputting information onto budget spreadsheets and researches issues or discrepancies if they arise
    -Administer regional purchases through APP system, knowledge of state contract vendors and transactions
    -Assist other programs at special events
    -Perform other duties as assigned

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

    The candidate should have knowledge in customer service; hull identification and safety equipment; terminology of watercraft structures and equipment; cash handling and reconciliation; procurement. The candidate should have skills in active listening; problem solving; organization; multitasking; oral and written communication; grammar usage. The candidate should have the ability to retain knowledge of Game and Fish Commission rules and orders; handle cash and work a point of sale system.

    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required
    training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) ).

    All newly hired employees will be subject to the E-Verify Employment Eligibility Verification program.
