Position Summary:
The Marketing Specialist provides support for the Workforce Development & Continuing Education department to produce efficient and effective marketing campaigns.
The position is customer service focused while executing tasks, and processing and accurately tracking information using documents, spreadsheets, databases, and other technology resources available.
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree in Marketing or related field.
2-3 years of related marketing experience in print/direct mail, digital, email, social media (organic and paid.)
Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Canva, and various other programs such as Social Media Networks.
Act-On Marketing Automation and Google Analytics.
Strong organizational skills; ability to work on numerous competing projects simultaneously; flexibility.
Commitment to accuracy; attention to detail.
Comfortable exploring and learning new technology (Xenedirect and Team Dynamics) and college processes quickly.
Exercises good judgment and initiative.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
SUPPORT THE PLANNING, COORDINATION AND EXECUTION OF MARKETING INITIATIVES- Assist with logging, preparing, tracking and proofing marketing jobs, including the Continuing Education catalog and other direct mail, web updates, email blasts, advertising and social media.
Assist program areas in preparing for community events. Assist with marketing research to support program initiatives. Maintain communication with program areas regarding current promotions.SUPPORTS MARKETING FUNCTIONS THROUGH THE USE OF VARIOUS SYSTEMS INCLUDING TEAM DYNAMICS, ACT-ON, BANNER, XENEGRADE AND SUGAR CRM– Prepare marketing campaigns.
Organize data and information thru databases, spreadsheets and various other documents. Serve as central point of contact thru phone calls, students/clients, emails etc. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive or privileged information. PPROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT – Handle all financial transactions for the department by preparing requisitions and other procedures in Banner, paying invoices and maintaining the department budget.
Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and swag. Monitor and maintain CE promotional display areas across campus. Archive CE print materials and keep files organized.Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
