- Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in higher education required, or a Bachelor's degree and an equivalent amount of education and experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with serving transfer students, managing transfer student services, and working with or at a North Carolina Community College.
- Experience with transfer articulation.
- Experience with data interpretation and reporting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, desire to work in a team-oriented environment, experience working with multiple constituencies, and ability to collaborate with a diverse staff.

- Master's in higher education administration, curriculum and instruction, or other relevant degree is preferred.
- Work with faculty and staff including, but not limited to Enrollment Management, University Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions, and Financial Aid; to improve the transfer articulation process at UNCG.
- This includes policies and procedures governing the annual review of articulation agreements, 2+ agreements, and Baccalaureate Degree Plans and serving as co-chair of the Transfer Advisory Committee.
- Supervise professional transfer student advisors who help students understand degree requirements, plan their course schedules, and connect them with campus resources. actively engage in mentoring, outreach, and programming to support their retention, progression, and degree completion.
- Support, as needed, campus partners with specialized transfer recruitment and orientation events that cater to their unique needs.
- Serve as a liaison between academic units, the University Registrar's Office and Community Colleges to ensure timely updating of course equivalencies and to improve articulation agreements.
- Regularly review and track transfer student performance data trends, identify challenges and obstacles transfer students face and continuously report and improve practices based on this data.

Position Summary
UNCG has a Transfer-Friendly Campus Culture that recognizes the diversity they bring to campus and actively integrates them into campus life.
This position will provide support to UNCG's efforts to improve the transfer student experience and partnerships with area Community Colleges.
The Assistant Director for Transfer Initiatives is a full-time, twelve-month, exempt position.The person in this position works collaboratively with colleagues campus-wide in order to improve transfer articulation practices including annual reviews of Baccalaureate Degree Plans and established Articulation Agreements as well as facilitating new agreements and degree pathways.
