    Bridge Project Management Role

    Description

    A bridge project manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of state/local bridge projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering with an emphasis on structures, as well as 5+ years of experience in bridge design.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Project Management: Lead and manage bridge projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
    • Structural Design: Prepare detailed structural design calculations for bridges and other transportation structures.
    • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead graduate engineers to develop their skills and expertise.
    • Field Investigations: Conduct site investigations to evaluate structural conditions and develop repair alternatives.
    • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public.
    • Business Development: Assist in business development opportunities related to bridge infrastructure.

    Requirements

    • Civil Engineering Background: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on structures preferred.
    • Experience: 5+ years of experience in bridge design.
    • Licenses: PE License in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, or Iowa.
    • Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
    • Department of Transportation Experience: Experience working with the Department of Transportation.
    • Project Management: Project management experience.
    • Client Relationships: Experience building and maintaining client relationships.
