- Create and maintain a conducive classroom climate for learning.
- Use instructional management systems models that enhance student learning.
- Monitor student progress toward content standards and objectives mastery.
- Communicate effectively with the educational community and parents/guardians regularly.
- Demonstrate competence in technology standards implementation.
- Implement standards-based lesson design.
- Implement state and county testing program following policies.
- Implement federal and state-mandated initiatives at the elementary level.
- Complete and submit required reports timely as per regulations.
- Report harmful situations affecting student/staff health and safety.
- Identify and refer children with learning deficiencies for evaluation.
- Advise the principal on situations requiring immediate intervention.
- Complete designated duty assignments by the principal.
- Communicate student progress/deficiencies to parents/guardians.
- Accept responsibility for student behavior.
- Supervise students following state, county, and school policies.
- Attend faculty senate and required meetings.
