    Position Summary:
    A Referral Testing Specialist's primary tasks are to prepare and send out materials for both internal and external testing. All Referral Testing Specialists will act as liaison between CellNetix sites and other laboratories across the region and country.

    Other job functions include regular communications with pathologists and reference laboratories, maintaining worklists, and assisting other laboratory departments with questions pertaining to tests and testing materials.

    Employees are expected to adhere to HIPAA standards at all times.

    Due to various environmental hazards presented in the workplace such as formalin, communicable disease, fresh human tissue, etc., employees must also adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment requirements.


    Position Schedule:
    M-F 8am - 4:30pm


    Essential Duties:
    This role may perform any of the following duties or groups of duties:


    • Place orders as requested by pathologists and doctors
    • Organize and prioritize regular specimen inbound and outbound workflow
    • Provide educational resources internally and externally, as needed
    • Prepare and distribute materials for external testing
    • Monitor and prioritize correspondence and reports through fax, email, and phone calls
    • Research and troubleshoot pathologist and customer issues
    • Communicate clearly and effectively with all points of contact

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • Minimum High school graduate
    • Preferred clinical medical setting or laboratory experience
    • Demonstrate proficiency in data entry and computer software applications
    • Comfortable handling biological specimens
    • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    • Extended time on feet
    • Be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

    • Manual dexterity
