Sauerdough Lodging is a collection of historic, quirky nightly rentals on the main street in downtown Seward, Alaska.

We have five units above a deli/coffee shop and one stand-alone unit a couple of blocks from the main building.

We are searching for a full-time housekeeper for our summer season. Please check out our website to view photos of our property.

You'd work 5 days per week, assisting the property manager/lead housekeeper with the cleaning and maintenance of our units. Daily hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This job is perfect for someone who wants to pick up additional work as a waitress/server/cook, etc.

On-site housing is available: the rooms we have are dorm-style, 2-3 people per room with 2 shared bathrooms, free laundry/wifi and a shared kitchen.

The nitty gritty:

cleaning involves (but not limited to): stripping/remaking beds, emptying trash, laundering/folding sheets and towels, washing dishes, cleaning/dusting/wiping down surface areas, and vacuuming.

You'd also be responsible for keeping the laundry room neat and cleaning all common areas including hallways, stairs, and some outside areas.

Some lawn maintenance at the cottage is also required (mostly mowing and edging)
