    Join Michaels in SHAKOPEE, MN!

    What will you do?

    Offer friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and help them find what they are looking for. Ensure all customers enjoy a quick and friendly checkout experience. Unload truck deliveries and handle tasks related to merchandise presentation throughout the store, including maintaining store organization standards to uphold our brand promises.

    Main Activities:

    • Assist customers in their shopping, help them find products, and offer solutions.
    • Provide a fast and courteous checkout experience and handle money according to standards.
    • Educate customers about the rewards program benefits and enroll them.
    • Inform customers about the Voice of the Customer (VOC) survey.
    • Assist with omnichannel processes, including BOPIS (buy online, pickup in-store) orders and store-shipped orders (SFS).
    • Participate in truck unloading, display replenishment, and planogram (POG) activities.
    • Responsible for merchandise organization and maintenance, including merchandise return process, restocking shelves, and general store maintenance to ensure a well-presented and stocked store.
    • Perform in-store stock optimization (OSEM) tasks and setups for weekly promotions as assigned.
    • Support loss prevention and safety programs.
    • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements, practice company policies and standards.
    • Interact with others in an acceptable and respectful manner, stay positive and respectful even in difficult situations, promote commitment to the company's vision and values, project a positive image, and serve as a role model for others.

    Preferred retail sales or customer service experience required.

    • Ability to move around the store
    • Bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch frequently
    • Lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

    • Public retail store environment to care for customers; all public areas are air-conditioned; some warehouses may not be air-conditioned; outdoor work may be assigned (collecting shopping carts or during truck unloading); the framing workshop has a glass-cutting machine and a heat press; work hours include evenings, weekends, and early mornings.
