- Maintain and improve knowledge of power systems communications, (Fiber links, radio connections, IP Systems, Switches, routers, LAN/WAN networks, Servers, TCP/IP) and all related SEL products.
- Analyze customer requirements and create Technical Approach documents detailing hardware requirements and configurations with various solutions.
- Help customers apply SEL products through visits, demonstrations, training courses and telephone contact.
- Applies principles, theories, standard techniques, and concepts to provide solutions to a variety of problems.
- Contributes to product specifications, application and testing software, and literature.
- Participates in SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
- Can teach SEL University courses within core area.
- Publishes application guides, notes, template guides, software tools, and/or technical conference papers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer / Network related area
- Typically 1+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and communications.
- Ability to write and speak English coherently.
- Listens carefully; provides positive, helpful, and professional communication to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrates composure and professionalism under difficult circumstances.
- Takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Experiments to find new solutions.

- Hands-on experience supporting multi-vendor platforms (Cisco, SEL, etc.).
- Ability to travel (30%).

- Knowledge of Network security technologies and solutions, ensuring network security and integrity.
