    Job Description

    Job Title: Driver

    Reports to: Branch Manager

    Job Summary: The main duty of the Driver is to safely transport cargo between branch locations.

    Driver Responsibilities:

    • Plans travel route efficiently for timely delivery to each location.
    • Utilizes local knowledge, GPS, and mapping apps to avoid traffic and determine the shortest, safest routes.
    • Ensures on-time arrival at specified delivery points.
    • Transports cargo securely and precisely to destinations.
    • Maintains travel records for expense tracking.
    • Ensures vehicle maintenance and checks for any mechanical issues.
    • Maintains a clean and organized vehicle.
    • Reviews delivery orders before departure.
    • Obtains necessary delivery confirmations.
    • Addresses delivery inquiries and issues professionally.
    • Adheres to transportation regulations and safety standards.

    Driver Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
    • Valid and Current Driver's license
    • Good driving record.
    • Proficiency in safe vehicle operation and navigation.
    • Knowledge of GPS technology and travel apps.
    • Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to changing work environments.

    Physical Requirements

    • Capable of moving, pushing, loading, and unloading items.
    • Able to lift, bend, kneel, crouch, and stretch as needed.
    • Capable of frequent entry and exit from the vehicle.
    • Able to walk up and down stairs when required.
