About the EmployerOak Grove School District has a total student enrollment of approximately 8,690 students from grades TK-8. There are 14 elementary schools and 3 intermediate schools, and a TK-8 Virtual Learning (VLA). Six out of seventeen schools receive Title I funds. The size of the school ranges from the highest (730) student enrollment to the lowest (269) student enrollment. The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 56 languages spoken in the District.
Oak Grove School District's focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) these identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. First and foremost in all activities is the safety of students as well as student success in the areas of math and reading/language arts. Student performance goals have been integrated into the state and federal accountability systems. Annually, the LCAP and SPSA's are updated with various stakeholder groups while the District Vision Advisory Committee (DVAC) reviews the core values, the vision, and the annual goals.
The district is located in the southeastern corner of San Jose, California bounded by Capitol Expressway to the north, Canoas Creek to the west, Bernal Road to the south and the foothills to the east.

Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) promotes and develops successful learning for students who are eligible for IDEA services. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for providing speech/language services to meet the individual needs of students with oral communication and speech/language impairments. This position is responsible for assessment; goal development; and planning/implementing appropriate
speech and language treatment services to maximize student learning. They maintain regular communication with their students, their parents, and appropriate staff members and are responsible for the implementation and revision of their student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Patience, compassion, positivity, and empathy are core values Speech-Language Pathologists must have to work with children living with disabilities.This job reports to the Site Administrator and the Director of Special Education.
