- Lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and testing of the core software used to build our library of massage content and deliver personalized massages.
- Lead the development of various ML, RL, and optimization algorithms that generate, select, and adapt massage content.
- Be a model of collaboration and operational excellence.
- Jointly drive projects with our backend, motion, control, & perception teams to improve core capabilities that impact our content library.
- Work with domain experts and our content production team to continuously improve the variety and quality of massage content that we can deliver.

- Create and maintain a technical roadmap, determining key needs, relative priorities, and assignment of tasks.

- 8+ years experience writing developing robotics & full stack software solutions.
- 5+ years experience managing software engineers in robotics or a similar field.
- Proficiency writing production level code in Python and C++. Golang and/or C# experience is a great bonus.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to hire and mentor engineers at various stages of their careers.
- Expertise in various machine learning and optimization algorithms, ideally including reinforcement learning. Experience deploying, maintaining, and improving these models in real-world applications.
- Strong product intuition with extensive experience delivering software both in the cloud and on consumer facing devices.
- Deep understanding of software development best practices and validation lifecycles.
- Exemplary systems design skills and prior experience designing and debugging a highly-complex system.
- The ability to productively conduct high-quality code reviews that enforce delivery of tested, production ready software.
- Comfort with working with rich datasets including user and time-series data
- Developed understanding of data structures, algorithms, and modern software best practices.
- Experience deploying machine learning algorithms for ranking & recommendation systems.
- Deep expertise in state of the art robotics algorithms including reinforcement learning (and its variants), state estimation, and motion planning.
- Experience through the robotics, AV, or similar industry (such as gaming) in behavior planning, task scheduling, path planning, and trajectory generation.
- Prior knowledge of massage techniques and practices.
- Significant experience with AWS, Docker, Airflow, and other similar platforms.
- Experience with audio / video editors or robot teleoperation platforms.
- Experience working on medical devices or in a regulated industry.
- Experience with ROS and other robotics tooling.
- Experience working with Unity, Unreal, GoDot, or similar frameworks.
