    HDR has an excellent opportunity for a Colorado Substation Business Class Lead to be located in our Colorado offices.

    In this position, you will serve as a leader to grow our substation program by leading pursuits, managing staff, and managing projects.

    Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR's Colorado Substation Engineering Manager will provide leadership to develop, coordinate, monitor, and improve technical services for substation related project work.

    The Colorado Substation Engineering Manager will lead the growth and further develop and manage substation projects of all sizes and complexity, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, and quality control, schedule, and budget management.

    Experience with distribution, transmission line, communication, and system projection and planning projects would be an added benefit.

    In the role of Colorado Substation Engineering Manager, we'll count on you to:
    Manage and execute project delivery for substation projects.
    Perform Project Management duties and be responsible for project financials and the project team.

    Develop, mentor and manage staff in the Substation Business ClassActive engagement in selected professional conferences and industry associations with presentations, committee assignments and leadership positions.

    Manage and develop multidiscipline teamsWork collaboratively with other Business Class Leads and Market Sector Leads within the resources business groupDevelop and implement strategies, with the collaboration from local, regional and national support, for the marketing and delivery of substation services.

    Assist with identifying project opportunities, client development and pursuits to win work of key projects in the substation business sector.

    Support the pursuit of substation project opportunities across business groups, business classes and market sectors.
    Support recruiting activities by identifying gaps in services and target hires.

    Commit to quality, improvement and HDR valuesExcellent team player with ability to function effectively in a variety of roles on integrated project teamsPerform other duties as needed to further the growth of the substation program.

    The expected compensation range for this position is $132,671 - $189,530 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
