- Lead the mechanical integrity and process safety programs in the chemical plant, ensuring compliance with PSM requirements and corporate process safety policies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and champion to drive strong mechanical integrity performance and process safety culture within the plant.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical integrity, including equipment inspection, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve mechanical integrity performance and reduce process safety risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and process hazard analyses to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of mechanical integrity issues and implementation of corrective actions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to plant personnel on process safety matters, including training and awareness initiatives.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to mechanical integrity and process safety, analyzing trends and driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment on process safety initiatives and objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Prior experience working for a chemical manufacturer, with a strong understanding of chemical processes and equipment.
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and leading mechanical integrity programs in a chemical plant.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to process safety, including OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct risk assessments and root cause analyses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and inclusive approach to driving process safety culture and performance improvement.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
