    The

    Procurement and Access Specialist

    is responsible for providing day-to-day project support for project managers, engineers and other staff members.

    This position will learn firsthand about project tasks, activities, and operations by managing the procurement life cycle from start to finish, including receiving and processing requests for material, coordinating with MCD's corporate procurement, and facilitating deliveries, as well as maintaining associated documentation and providing status reports.

    In addition, the

    Procurement and Access Specialist


    will be responsible for submitting and maintaining access documentation for contractors, vendors and visitors, as well as coordinating the submission of permanent access paperwork for new employees.

    Other tasks may include assisting with answering Help Desk calls or updating work tickets in the CMMS as needed.


    Required Skills:
    High School Diploma
    3-4 years' experience in the administrative field.
    Microsoft Word/Excel.
    Great organizational skills.
    Strong attention to detail.
    The ability to communicate information and ideas, verbally and in writing, so others will understand.
    Working well with others to complete a project.
    Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
    Leadership skills to mentor other employees.
    Managing one's time in order to complete projects in a timely manner; possess the ability to prioritize and multitask.
    Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance & HSPD-12


    Preferences:
    Experience in the Operations & Maintenance, electrical, or HVAC fields.

    Abilities
    Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
    Sitting for extended periods of time.
    Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.

    Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
