    Our Urology Group Affiliates consist of Chesapeake Urology, Arizona Urology- Phoenix & Scottsdale, Arizona Urology Tucson, Colorado Urology & Tennessee Urology.

    The Radiation Therapist is responsible for performing the accurate delivery of prescribed ionizing therapeutic radiation under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist, using a variety of complex techniques and equipment.

    Educate patients on procedures, skincare, side effects, and nutrition.
    Performs simulation procedures and prepares immobilization devices for various body parts.

    Monitors patients' clinical progress withholds treatment if necessary and refers patients to Radiation Oncologist or Executive Director for appropriate intervention.

    Operation of the therapeutic equipment, proper patient positioning, monitoring of the patient during the procedure, and related clerical duties.

    Evaluates and assesses treatment machine operations; recognizes machine malfunctions and reports them to Executive Director.
    Communicates clearly and concisely with all members of the health care team, patients, and families.

    Meet and adhere to strict radiation safety guidelines, internal quality controls, organizational standards, department policies and procedures, and strategic goals.

    Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy School.
    Minimum of six (6) months' experience as a staff therapist.
    Current knowledge of appropriate clinical practice, radiation protection, and quality assurance.
    Proficient knowledge of medical terminology.
    Proficient computer software and database skills.


    Travel:
    Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.
    Good general health and stress-coping ability.
