    Description


    The Transformation Quality Director will be part of the Transformation Standards & Oversight team within the larger Transformation Program Management team.

    The Transformation Quality Director is a strategic role focusing on the overarching quality objectives of the Transformation Program.

    This role will collaborate with the broader Transformation team, business partners, technology and global functions to drive the implementation of quality practices in association with the Transformation program.

    This includes open, constructive communication, sharing of ideas and suggestions, active listening, proactive engagement with stakeholders. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.

    Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of Transformation and associated businesses and functions, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in quality control and/or related subject areas.

    Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, planning, procedure formulation and contribution to future strategy. This person is responsible for assessing complex issues, structuring potential solutions, and driving to resolution with senior stakeholders.

    Responsibilities:
    Develop and lead the Transformation Quality Working Group, comprised of leaders from across Citi representing various existing QC teams to ensure an effective quality control process is in place which will:
    Ensure adherence to relevant quality control processes and procedures
    Share best practices to ensure consistency of application of quality related standards
    Assess Action Plans to stress test key design components and execution goals to ensure regulatory commitments are successfully addressed
    Evaluate resourcing, technology, and other critical inputs to complete key milestones
    Identify potential areas of risks and suggest mitigation strategies / provide recommendations
    Escalate key issues to relevant governance committees
    Track issue resolution prior to commencement to IA validation
    Day-to-day lead of the Transformation Standards & Oversight Brain Trust
    Small, cross-functional team which is responsible for generating 30/60/90-day action plans to solve identified roadblocks related to Transformation governance processes
    Present action plans to leadership and a broader group of SMEs for ratification and key decisions
    Drive progress to complete action plans and report on results
    Focus on removing duplicative steps, unnecessary dependencies and driving towards simplification
    Examine any redundant functions and processes; define and implement required actions to continuously improve effectiveness and efficiency.
    Oversight of the Execution Quality Control procedure and related processes
    Review outputs of Quality Control review sessions to ensure Leads are adhering to the EQC procedure; ensure that the spirit of the regulatory feedback, broader supervisory expectations and underlying issues and root causes are appropriately embedded
    Provide an independent assessment of the output from the review sessions
    Report against timeliness and quality of the required review sessions
    Conduct an independent monthly analysis to identify thematic concerns and lessons learned across documented concerns and observations resulting from Quality Control review sessions as well as any re-opened regulatory commitments to determine how to improve the overall execution process and track any identified action items through resolution
    Provide quarterly reporting on the effectiveness of the Execution Quality Control Process, look for continual process improvement opportunities and oversee the internal controls defined to monitor the process
    Develop an audit ready environment

    Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior leaders Demonstrated ability to assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques; structure potential solutions; drive to resolution with senior stakeholders.

    Ability to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior level using sound judgment and successful execution, understanding how to operate effectively across diverse businesses.

    Experience with and previous exposure to internal or external control functions and regulators
    Ability to challenge business management and escalate issues when appropriate.
    Often requires development of new concepts and approaches to solving issues affecting global stakeholders of the Transformation Program
    Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
    Extensive experience in managing highly visible, complex initiatives and/or consulting experience; Capable of diving into details, while bringing a strategic and big picture perspective
    Organizationally savvy with the ability to build strong relationships across functions to drive the strategic agenda
    Highly collaborative, strong operator and facilitator with the ability to influence and turn a vision into an execution plan
    Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
    Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills
    Deep subject matter expertise in headcount management for financial services/banking
    Demonstrated skills in building and developing teams
    Strong organizational and follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a high-volume environment

    Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and provide direction with judgement and authority to enable effective validation with senior stakeholders.

    Ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing

    Qualifications:
    15+ years of experience of relevant experience
    Specific subject matter expertise regarding transformation, simplification and controls; including a strong business understanding of the products and services Citi offers
    Successful track record in transformation roles including in managing complex cross-company transformation programs
    General understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
    Previous audit or consulting experience preferred
    Track record of managing internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change and change management efforts
    Demonstrated ability to think independently, strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve
    Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at the senior management level
    Articulate and effective communicator, demonstrated ability to offer critical challenge to Executive Stakeholders
    Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues

    Education:
    Bachelor's/University

    degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree and managerial experience

    $170, $300,000.00
