    Description
    *Surgical Technologist -OR needed in Midland,MI**Contract : 13 weeks**shift : 10hrs Days**Gross weekly :$1862*Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your attention to detail, knowledge of anatomy, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our surgical team.


    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
    • Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by passing instruments, suture, and other supplies
    • Maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infections
    • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary instruments and supplies promptly
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
    • Monitor and maintain sterile field during surgery
    • Collect and document data related to patient care before, during, and after surgery
    • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping
    • Assist with the cleaning and sterilization of instruments and equipment

    Experience:

    • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred
    • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
    • Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment
    • Ability to analyze situations and make quick decisions in critical care settings
    • Proficient in basic life support techniques
    • Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center is a plus

    Requirements:

    • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
    • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred but not required
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work well in a team environment
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
