    The Director of Business Development will work closely with the Senior Director of Workforce and Employment Coordinator team to target and develop key employer relationships; and assist our job seekers in connecting to entry level to mid level positions that offer career advancement opportunities in Healthcare, Information Technology, Construction, Customer Service, Culinary Arts and other fields. This position requires a strategic and results-driven professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills

    The Director of Business Development will be required to perform the following duties:
    • The Director of Business Development shall initiate and maintain ongoing personal contact with a variety of businesses, industry representatives, and job placement/training agencies to promote the Hub workforce programs and secure job placement opportunities for our program graduates and job seekers
    • The Director of Business Development shall collect data from employers related to job orders, including job requirements and skills; match job skills with applicant qualifications; refer qualified applicants to employers, and conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in positions.
    • The Director of Business Development will work with employment coordinators to fill job orders and assist in updating client job search portfolios, arranging interviews, obtaining employer feedback, documenting job placement, and retention milestones.
    • The Director of Business Development shall keep up-to-date regarding labor market information, educational resources, job fairs and networking opportunities may assist in the career development of job seekers and program graduates
    • Spreadhead and coordinate virtual/in-person recruitment events, career panels, and industry specific information sessions.
    • Track and report on the outcome of new business development activity including new employer partnerships, number of job orders received, participants referred, and placements obtained.
    • Monitor and communicate participant performance on the job to employment coordinators; assist in counseling participants when job performance is not satisfactory; improve their job performance and gain necessary job skills or review other employment options.
    • Oversee facilitated workshops (i.e., Hot Jobs (virtual), skills acquisition workshops) to motivate program participants for job opportunities, provide an environment for program participants to share information and troubleshoot issues that they may face.
    • Understand labor and market demands, by researching industry trends using various sites: Dept of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Indeed, LinkedIn, and attending industry forums, etc.,
    • Identify and prioritize target industries, companies, and sectors that align with the needs and abilities of program participants.

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
    • BA/BS in business, human resources, career counseling or related fields with three plus year's relevant work experience.
    • A track record as a diligent, organized, self starter who can take ownership of tasks and adapt to change as needed
    • Able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, networking, and transactional skills.
    • Ability to convey and participate in team oriented work.
    • Able to build rapport and work well with people from all different background
    • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with GSuite, Google Doc/Sheets, Zoom and/or Salesforce a PLUS
