Job Title: Foreperson at Vegetation Management Company

The Foreperson is responsible for coordinating crew members, equipment, tools, and supplies to ensure that all jobs are completed according to contract specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure compliance with safety practices and rules
• Direct and oversee crew members and equipment daily
• Assign tasks to crew members and monitor their performance
• Plan and execute work tasks safely and professionally
• Organize job assignments for efficient completion
• Communicate with property owners regarding job activities
• Ensure crew members use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols
• Trim or remove trees using appropriate equipment
• Apply herbicides and spray stumps to prevent regrowth
• Load and unload trucks with debris or operate chippers
• Manage break times and job site cleanup
• Inspect work quality and maintain accurate records
• Conduct job briefings as required by law
• Respond to emergency situations and perform storm work when necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Foreperson guides crew members in preparing for daily tasks but has no direct reports.

Experience Requirements:
Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries is preferred.

Education Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent education is preferred.

• Demonstrate qualifications for all crew positions
• Follow instructions effectively
• Delegate tasks and ensure crew performance
• Interpret drawings and symbols related to job tasks
• Adapt to field requirements and work independently
• Possess a valid Driver's License and operate company vehicles safely
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Obtain and maintain first-aid and CPR certifications
• Communicate effectively and work well with others
• Operate tools and equipment proficiently
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed
