    Job Description

    American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a TX or compact RN license and strong critical care skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Position is based in a fast-paced Emergency Department
    • Care provided for a diverse patient population including urgent care, psych, pediatric, critical care, and trauma cases
    • Responsibilities include managing medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions, and chest tubes
    • Work schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
    • Cerner EMR experience required
    • ED nurses deliver care to patients with complex medical needs to ensure safety and quality
    • Team manages both routine and critical interventions in a collaborative environment
    • Holiday and weekend coverage may be required
    • COVID and flu vaccination requirements may apply
    • First-time travelers are not specified

    Requirements

    • Active TX or compact RN license, no pending licenses accepted
    • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly desired
    • Minimum of 3 years recent ER experience required
    • At least 2 years of experience in a US hospital ED setting
    • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (AHA only), and CPI
    • Cerner EMR experience required
    • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
    • U.S. Social Security Number and two professional references required for consideration
