    Sous Chef Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a key role in achieving the company's mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up and execute hot food for restaurant service.
    • Coordinate and execute breakfast hot food for banquet events.
    • Lead and manage line cooks, production cooks, and stewards.
    • Train and mentor hourly associates.
    • Address kitchen-related problems and incidents in a timely and effective manner.
    • Complete opening, daily, and weekly checklists as necessary.
    • Maintain state health codes and adhere to company standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure high sanitation standards and enforce health and safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with culinary management to oversee product, multitask, and work efficiently.
    • Manage daily vendor orders and maintain organized coolers and store rooms.
    • Setup, maintain, and breakdown hot and cold stations.
    • Develop and prepare special occasion menus, including holiday brunches and buffets.
    • Work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
    • UpHold high standards of cleanliness and demonstrate knowledge of food safety practices.
    • Communicate effectively through verbal and written means.
    • Understand kitchen equipment and communicate issues with the engineering department.
    • Design unique and visually appealing plating designs for new dishes.
    • Create nightly dinner specials for upscale restaurants.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
    • Previous experience (desired)
