    This position reports to the Coordinator Field Service Resources.


    Wärtsilä, a SMART technology company, is seeking the ideal candidate to join our fast- paced, high performance Field Service Operations coordination team (AMER).

    In this position, you will perform Service activities (such as overhauls and repairs) on 4-stroke marine diesel engines.

    Perform advanced mechanical, as well as system integration related troubleshooting on 4-stroke engines and ancillary equipment.
    Commissioning of service products.
    Assistance in creating the Service Work Reports.
    Proven experience in installation, operation and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems.
    Experience in working with electrical systems beneficial.

    Strong focus on quality and safety
    Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in languages needed to support the team
    Ability to Mount and Dismount Forklift/Truck

    Travel Requirements:
    This position requires a 70%+ travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations.

    The role demands adaptability to varying travel demands, with an expectation of extended periods away from the primary work location.

    Prospective candidates should be prepared to fulfill these travel obligations as an integral aspect of the position's responsibilities.

    For applicants that reside in CA/CO/WA, the hourly wage range is $30.For applicants that reside in NY, the salary/salary range/hourly wage range is $28.additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
