- Sets up and assists in staining cells and tissues for flow cytometry and confocal imaging under general supervision of the principal investigator and research specialists in the lab.
- Open to work in an animal research environment, and such as mouse blood and tissue collection/processing and monitoring of mice during procedures, under general supervision of the principal investigator and research specialists in the lab.
- Troubleshoots and performs routine repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintains records, files and logs of work performed in laboratory notebooks and computer databases.
- Reviews literature for related research developments and techniques and compiles findings.
- Records results of studies, compiles and analyzes data and prepares charts and graphs.
- Demonstrated outstanding working habits, including the ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal and communication skills.
- Experience with flow cytometry, PCR, ELISA, histology and processing of human samples preferable.
- Prior hematology/immunology education or experience or familiarity with immunologic based assays is ideal
