    Description

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Supervise all claims, including AL, GL, and/or WC claims within his/her designated region. This will include TX and surrounding states
    Responsible for all administrative functions within his/her assigned region
    Manage and resolve escalated customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues arising out of any claim
    Ensure and enable staff to maintain a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs
    Attend insured and agent meetings and reviews, as appropriate and when requested
    Supervise and support all personnel within his/her region and ensure accurate updated file information
    Coach, mentor, and create individualized Personal Development Plans for direct reports
    Complete performance reviews and corrective action plans and report to the VP of Claims
    Maintain a level of knowledge of liability issues and ensure that all resolution specialists are properly trained and educated
    Conduct monthly in-person adjuster file reviews
    Evaluate and respond to contractual demands asserted against the insured or for additional insured coverage from Gray Insurance
    Approve settlements/reserves exceeding the authority of the individual adjustor. Notifies the VP of Claims of any matter not within the authority of the Claims Manager
    Manage defense counsel and work with same regarding strategy on litigated claims ensuring that litigation management and billing guidelines are followed
    Handle a limited number of claims
    Assist the VP of Claims in the development and implementation of standards, procedures, company goals, and objectives
    Monitor budget for training
    Ensure compliance with all company, state, and federal compliance rules and regulations
    Obtain required credit hours to maintain adjuster licensing
    Other duties as assigned/ required

    REQUIRED SKILLS
    Excellent leadership and management skills.
    Excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

    College degree preferred.
    3+ years of supervisor/manager experience
    7+ years of claims experience.
    TX Adjuster license
