Requirements of the

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/IC Preventionist

:

Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with
Must have current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience
Must have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing
Must have an Infection Prevention experience with 1 year in a management/administrative or supervisory capacity
Must have IPC training and/or Certification

The salary for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 / yr (Based on experience)

Responsibilities

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)/IC Preventionist

:

The Assistant Director of Nursing is the second highest level of position in the nursing department
This position takes on some of the responsibilities of the nursing department as may be delegated
He/she provides assistance in the functioning of the nursing department

In addition, he/she maintains the safety of the residents, patients and staff in order to minimize the risk of infection or spread of bloodborne or airborne pathogens.
