    Description

    Leading U.S. engineering consulting firm is looking for a Transportation Engineer for their Chicago office

    • Be part of the design process/project advancement (setting priorities/developing objectives)
    • Utilize technical expertise to support a multi-discipline team
    • Create highway/roadway and sewer plans, specifications, and estimates
    • Handle project permitting
    • Compile project reports
    • Provide mentorship to junior engineers

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
    • 5+ years of practical design experience (transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design)
    • IL PE License
    • Familiarity with IDOT, CDOT, municipal, and IL Tollway design/standards
    • Strong communication skills
    • Proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads required
    • Working knowledge of modeling with OpenRoads preferred
    • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D software preferred

    Salary is competitive and depends on experience.
