POSITIONSUMMARY: Performs diagnostic and interventionalprocedures as requested by physicians. Provides care forpatients while obtaining diagnostic quality images forinterpretation by aRadiologist/Cardiologist.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High schooldiploma or equivalent. Graduation from accredited radiologictechnology program.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT or Board eligible, New Mexico State licensurerequired. BLS certification required. For recent graduates,BLS certification required within six months of hire. ACLSobtained within the first year.

SKILLS:

• Thorough knowledge of associated radiographicequipment, neurologic and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology,radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computerskills
• Thorough knowledge of interventionalprocedures in Cardiology and Radiology preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally inEnglish.

EXPERIENCE: A graduateof an accredited radiologic technology program. One yearradiologic experience preferred.

-Responsible to: Manager, Cath Lab

ENVIRONMENT:

- Bloodborne pathogenC

Exposure to various body fluidsand ionizing radiation.

Works in a clean,well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. Subject tostressful professional relationships. Working hours arevaried, with flexibility due to unexpected changes in schedule andemergencies.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS: Lifts, positions, pushes and/ortransfers patients and equipment in excess of 50lbs.
