    Description

    Job Title: Medical Assistant

    Job Description

    As a Medical Assistant, you will be performing a range of clinical duties that support the health and wellbeing of our patients. Your role will involve discussing symptoms with patients, gathering and inputting information into our electronic medical records system, and ensuring that vital signs are taken accurately. You will be responsible for giving injections, performing diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, and drawing blood. It is also crucial that you maintain the sterility and cleanliness of equipment, and keep examination rooms orderly at our outpatient care site. In collaboration with Physicians and Nurses, you will deliver direct patient care within the scope of your active certification. Additional duties include taking clinical histories, phlebotomy, managing maintenance medications and refills, communicating test results to patients, and providing patient care with exceptional customer service.

    Hard Skills

    • 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
    • Certified Medical Assistant
    • Current CPR certification
    • Experience in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
    • Experience with MS Outlook
    • Basic Computer knowledge
    • EKG & Ear Lavage Experience (preferred)

    Soft Skills

    • Must be a team player
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

    Work Environment

    Onsite in Apopka, FL at a provider office, team setting. Shift: Monday through Friday 8 am-5 pm
