Description

The Postdoctoral Research Associates- report to the Principal Investigator and performs research duties for the Army Corps of Engineer's ERDC "Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) Asset Identification and Management" project in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and College of Engineering & Computer Science.

This project is in collaboration with the Tandy School of Computer Science and the School of Cyber Studies in the College of Engineering & Computer Science and appointment may be in either of these programs in addition to Electrical & Computer Engineering based on mutual consent of all parties.

Specific responsibilities include, supporting investigators' research needs as they arise with respect to software, hardware, and technology experimentation, integration, and interoperability concerns on the project.

Producing written reports, make presentations, contribute to scholarly works and mentor/supervise students and employees.

Required Qualifications Preferred Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Studies, Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work under limited supervision; the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; demonstrated effectiveness in working with a variety of administrative levels and diverse groups of people located both internally and externally to the institution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience as a researcher in an academic setting.

Familiarity and/or proficiency with network security, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and networks, network infrastructure, sensor technologies, security economics, artificial intelligence (AI), and/or machine learning (ML).
