SR. FINANCIAL ANALYST
The primary purpose of this position is to provide analytical and financial analysis, planning and reporting services and support to the operations organization.
In this role you will lead the day-to-day activities regarding the reporting, planning and analysis activities for multiple manufacturing sites.
This will include accurate and timely preparation of financial and business-related analyses, forecasts, and research.You will work closely with key operations stakeholders to help establish site performance targets, identify productivity projects and other continuous improvement opportunities, and eliminate inefficiencies in financial processes.
Primary Responsibilities IncludeProvide Finance and Operations Management with interpretive and predictive financial information
Lead the monthly operations Forecast Process with the collaboration of site and divisional operations leadership, including the completion of required schedules/templates
Coordinate follow-up actions identified during month-end finance close meeting and ensure these are completed timely
Provide Finance and Operations Management with weekly variance analysis on performance
Lead costing function for sites, through regular review as well as annual cost roll
Monitor and lead resolution of daily manufacturing variances
Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of the business case(s) and associated financial justification(s) for certain capital expenditure requests
Fulfill various ad-hoc reporting and analysis requirements, including developing BI reports, analyzing trends, and presenting results
Work to automate the reporting capabilities where possible, leading to reduced time required to complete reports
Complete all month end close activities including JE, accruals/reclasses and cost center statements
Ensure month end reporting for Freight is accurate which includes booking accruals/reclasses
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Director - Finance.
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 5-8 years of financial and/or accounting experience; manufacturing environment preferred
Experience working with financial reporting tools and/or Business Intelligence reporting tools like Power BI
Provide actionable insights to the organization which leads to improved results
Ability to build strong relationships and rapport with Operations leadership teams
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines due to fluid business conditions and requests
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other related software
Advanced proficiency in ERP & business intelligence tools preferred
Demonstrated project management skills preferred
Promote collaboration, desire to learn continuously and takes initiative to act on data and intuition
