Lawrence Group is a place for dreamers.
That's a quality we look for in our clients – and in our employees. These dreams – these ideas – inspire us. They move us forward. From the very beginning, we've built our culture to encourage this kind of thinking. We've never been about ego or hierarchy. And our approach is not about raw beauty or creativity. It's about finding new ways to bring people together. Helping our clients make what they do more relevant, more impactful, and above all, more meaningful, for all.

Lawrence Group is a building design, development, and project delivery firm headquartered in St. Louis with offices in Austin, Florida and New York. With 170+ employees, Lawrence Group offers architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, furniture procurement, and graphic design services to a wide variety of clients, including housing, hospitality, healthcare, academic, and retail.

This position will adhere to Lawrence Group's core values:
    • Legendary: We strive to be legendary, from the service we provide to our impact on the community.
    • Innovation: We're driven by ideas and creativity. We take calculated risks and embrace opportunities.
    • Growth: We seek sustainable growth for our clients, our organization, and our employees.
    • Heart: We lead with heart. We celebrate, appreciate and care for each other.
    • Trust: We rely on trust to pursue excellence. We speak honestly, act transparently and honor our commitments.

Lawrence Group is seeking design professionals to assist with projects in our St. Louis office.

This position will have the opportunity to contribute to diverse architectural projects across multiple markets, including retail, hospitality, and institutional sectors. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to all phases of project development, from conceptualization to construction administration, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and high-quality design solutions.

    The key responsibilities include:
    • Assist in the development of design concepts, schematic drawings, and 3D models for architectural projects in various market sectors.
    • Support senior architects and project managers in gathering project requirements, conducting site analysis, and assessing client needs.
    • Contribute to the preparation of presentation materials, including renderings, diagrams, and visualizations, to communicate design ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, consultants, and contractors, to integrate technical requirements and ensure design feasibility.
    • Produce architectural drawings, plans, and elevations using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software, adhering to established standards and protocols.
    • Assist in the coordination of project documentation, including specifications, schedules, and construction details, to ensure accuracy and compliance with building codes and industry standards.
    • Conduct research on materials, products, and building systems to support design decisions and enhance project sustainability.
    • Participate in site visits and inspections during construction phases to observe progress, address field issues, and assist with quality assurance.
    • Stay informed about current trends, technologies, and best practices in architecture and design, and contribute ideas for innovation and improvement.
    • Assist with administrative tasks, such as organizing project files, preparing meeting agendas, and maintaining project documentation.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited institution.
    • 3-5 years of experience in architectural design, with a portfolio demonstrating involvement in a variety of project types and phases.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software.
    • Strong graphic and visualization skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design ideas through drawings, renderings, and presentations.
    • Solid understanding of architectural principles, building materials, and construction techniques.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to various project types and locations.
