Overview

We are looking for a
Server/Culinary Assistant for Lake City Care Center (transitional care and long term care units)
.

This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior residents-patients and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our care community in Lake City, MN
This food services aide position includes;

• On-call/casual
• Evening shift
• Must pick up three shifts a month; one being a weekend shift

Lake City Care Center is owned by the Mayo Clinic Health System with the daily operations managed by Ebenezer. At any given time, as many as 90 people call the Long Term and Transitional Care Center their home. Our care center is connected to a Mayo clinic and hospital, so residents don't have to leave the building for a clinic appointment or emergency care if needed.

Responsibilities/Job Description

• Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction with their meal service
• Sanitizes equipment, work areas and maintains supplies
• Assists with meal prep and special events
• Provides kitchen support when needed with dish washing and cleaning of floors
• Answers phones and communicates requests appropriately

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, but prefer work experience in a customer service setting
• Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required
• Desire to work with seniors
• Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff
