    Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Nurse Educator Opportunity

    A skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY seeks a Registered Nurse to fill the role of ADON/Nurse Educator.

    The ideal candidate will bring experience from a long-term care environment with strong communication and leadership abilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) to manage and maintain high standards of care
    • Lead staff education and serve as the Infection Control Officer
    • Ensure compliance and foster clear communication with nursing teams
    • Meet the medical and nursing needs of all residents
    • Plan and coordinate nursing services across the facility
    • Stay current with nursing practices and theory
    • Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical documentation
    • Assist in hiring, interviewing, and orienting new nursing staff
    • Be adaptable to changing demands and maintain a flexible schedule as needed

    Requirements:

    • Active RN license in New York
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in long-term care
    • 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
    • At least 1 year of experience in staff education is a plus
    • Strong communication and leadership abilities
    • Willingness to work flexible hours
