    Orthopedic Certified Surgical First Assist

    Full Time | 4x10s or 3x12s | Surgery Only

    A growing orthopedic and spine practice is seeking a Certified Surgical First Assist to join their high performing surgical team.

    Due to continued growth and expanding surgical volume, we are adding a dedicated First Assist to support our orthopedic and spine surgeons in the operating room.

    This is a surgery only position with no clinic responsibilities.

    Case Mix

    You will assist in a wide variety of orthopedic and spine procedures, including:

    • Total knee and total hip replacements
    • Bipolar hips
    • Pinning procedures
    • ORIF cases
    • Tendon repairs
    • Knee arthroscopies
    • Hand and wrist procedures including carpal tunnel and De Quervain's
    • Total shoulders
    • Rotator cuff repairs
    • Spine procedures

    This is a high volume environment with a diverse and complex case mix.

    Schedule

    • 4x10 hour shifts or 3x12 hour shifts
    • Call requirements TBD

    Responsibilities

    • Provide direct intraoperative assistance to orthopedic and spine surgeons
    • Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure
    • Anticipate surgeon needs and support efficient case flow
    • Collaborate with surgical team to optimize outcomes
