- Observe and ensure all employees are within Bishop Gadsden Dress and Appearance Policy.
- Ensure all sanitation and nutrition practices are followed
- Handle customer complaint in a professional and prompt manner
- Responsible for smooth operation of Frederick Dining Room
- Inspect and monitor completion of side work assignments
- Plan and conduct service meetings with employees.
•Adhere to all DHEC requirements. - Assist with training new staff for department.
- Work with management to identify problem areas and work to help correct them as directed.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff and with other operational departments.
- Manager on Duty responsibilities to include supervision of team members, ensure that all areas of food service are operating at high standards.
- Assist servers during meal service as needed.
- Inventory maintenance for retail/bistro area. Place orders with purchaser as needed.
- Handle ordering of Coke-A-Cola beverage product.
- Ensure all closing procedures are followed, equipment turned off, dish area clean, doors locked, cash drawer secured
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Pleasant appearance and attitude for daily interaction with residents, families, co-workers, and public.
- Possess basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
- Ability to multi-task and deal with multiple customers at the same time
- Ability to learn and use a computerized POS (point of sale) system
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl and to lift and/or carry weights of up to 50 pounds
- Prefer high school education or equivalent
- Must have at least five years front of house experience
- Previous supervisory experience is ideal
