As an Advanced Manufacturing Project Engineer at ERMCO you will help shape the future of how we build high-quality electrical distribution equipment that communities depend on every day. Lead advanced manufacturing projects from concept through implementation including engineering design validation and production release.Responsibilities
Lead advanced manufacturing projects from concept through implementation create detailed 3D and 2D models tooling designs jigs fixtures and complete equipment using Inventor or comparable CAD platforms develop PFMEAs control plans process flow diagrams and work instructions that support stable repeatable operations conduct time studies capacity modeling and simulation analysis to optimize bottlenecks and future-state production layouts collaborate with engineering quality and production teams to troubleshoot process variation and drive root-cause problem solving implement Lean Six Sigma and automation solutions to reduce waste improve first-pass yield enhance throughput support equipment specification vendor evaluation CAPEX justification installation of new automation robotics and advanced manufacturing systems integrate Industry 4.0 solutions such as machine data collection MES enhancements IoT-enabled predictive maintenance partner with supply chain to mitigate material risk qualify alternate components evaluate manufacturability of sourced parts ensure compliance with safety regulatory environmental standards throughout all manufacturing processes provide coaching technology mentorship for engineering productivity team members.Job description
