    Required Education:

    • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent scientific discipline

    Required Experience and Skills:

    • 3+ years progressive Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) experience

    • 1+ years of experience implementing ISO certifications and standards

    • Strong project management skills

    • Proficient in Excel and data analysis, Microsoft Word, and Power Point programs

    Soft Skills Required:

    • Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

    • Excellent people skills, communication, and collaboration skills

    • Active listening skills with the ability to understand other perspectives, needs, or expectations

    • Self-driven and capable of driving results with limited instructions

    • Focus on delivering results while striving to continually improve performance

    The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Professional will:

    • Maintain site-level EHS management system programs and associated documentation in accordance with governmental and company requirements

    • Evaluate proposed Federal, State, and local EHS compliance laws and regulations to determine impact to compliance programs and business operations

    • Revise/develop programs as needed

    • Apply continuous improvement philosophy to EHS programs while ensuring compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation

    • Partner with site leaders to improve the safety culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS programs

    • Develop rapport and collaborative relationship with employees

    • Ensure timely follow through on customer inquiries or business needs

    • Manage EHS projects

    • Engage and actively participate in site workplace consultation committees, including Safety Committee, First Aid Team and Green Team

    • Support environmental compliance programs

    • Promote use of electronic good observation/near miss tool

    • Revise and establish site EHS training as needed

    • Support audits and ergonomic assessments.

    • Travel up to 10% (EHS meetings and professional development)
