    Overview:

    Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Construction Coordinator I to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

    The Construction Coordinator I will serve as liaison between project management, project team, facility management, contractor assurance, and construction management to coordinate the contractor assurance work scopes. Scope includes being point of contact for construction in contractor assurance meetings and writing performance assessment reports for functional group Construction.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assists construction management in coordination and interface with contractor assurance, operations, radiological control, maintenance, and other facility support organizations. Interfaces with internal and external customers and works with other facility groups and departments including supervisors and mid-level management.
    • Participates in field walk downs to perform field observation of Construction work scopes.
    • Gather and analyze Construction data to determine process improvements for Construction activities.
    • Gather and analyze Construction data to determine KPIs, trends, and overall health of organization.
    • Performs Issue Investigations and Fact Findings on Construction related issues in different facilities.
    • Represents the construction team in management review teams/boards.
    • Understands and follows ISMS work steps (Scope, Analyze Hazards, Identify Controls, Perform Work, Feedback). Stays current on changing work practices and policies.
    • Coordinates with stakeholders to provide input to Management Review Boards, Issue Investigations, Fact Findings, and Safety and Health Boards.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in engineering, technical or science disciplines, or construction or project management;
      OR
    • Bachelors degree in a non-technical discipline or an Associate's degree or a high school diploma/GED and practical experience in construction/operations, contractor assurance or technical areas

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • General knowledge of facility processes, systems and equipment.
    • General knowledge of site procedures and work practices and procedures for contractor assurance, maintenance, operations, construction and project related areas.
    • Knowledge of general or specific safety, environmental, regulatory, safeguards, security, emergency preparedness programs, policies, practices and guidelines.
    • Understanding of Waste Removal & Tank Closure and/or Capital Project guidelines related to cost, scope, schedule and risk management.
    • Experience working in a matrix organization and coordinating activities with multiple stakeholders to include internal and external customers.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).

    Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energys Savannah River Sites Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. The SRMC Team is responsible for the closure of waste tanks, the operation of the Savannah River Sites Defense Waste Processing Facility, tank farm operations and associated production and disposal facilities.

    Minimum Pay:
    USD $59,208.00/Yr.

    Maximum Pay:
    USD $106,536.00/Yr.
