RESPONSIBLE FOR:


Maintains recommended standards for setassembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing andsterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical suppliesand equipment. Leads the day-to-day operational work flow.

Responsibilities include staffing, monitoring staff performance,providing staff education, inventory control, management of sterileprocessing information database, and implementing and directingQuality Assurance & Performance Improvement initiatives for thedepartment.

Acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff,medical staff, and other departments within the hospital.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED:


High School graduate or GED.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:


Three years of Central ServiceProcessing or Operating Room Procedural Support Technicianexperience or Surgical Tech Experience

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONREQUIRED BYLAW:
