Reports to: Senior Director, Education Business Coalitions

Position Overview: The Manager, Education Business Coalitions is primarily responsible for managing a variety of grant-funded initiatives that work to enhance workforce development and educational outcomes for chambers of commerce across the U.S. This position is designed for an individual with a background in workforce development and who is passionate about making an impact across a broad range of initiatives (e.g. early care & education, models for work-based learning, community safety, or employer talent strategies). This position is focused on supporting UNITE-LA's Strategic Partnership team to advance the organizational mission through strategically cultivating and executing cross-sector partnerships across the country. The position will be primarily dedicated to supporting UNITE-LA's partnership with the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Foundation.*
Primary Responsibilities
Program Management:
● Translate concepts for programmatic initiatives (e.g. early care & education, models for work-based learning, community safety, or employer talent strategies) into actionable program curriculum, deliverables, and outcomes.
● Oversee the design and implementation of grant-funded deliverables (e.g., curriculum, facilitation, programs, webinars, toolkits, reports, etc.).
● Monitor program effectiveness and make data-informed adjustments to maximize impact.
● Brief team at weekly meetings on deliverables, broader programmatic growth, and ACCE member communications
● Enhance chamber of commerce engagement in issues by managing peer learning communities.
Communication:
● Contribute to the development of grant reports, internal weekly updates and check-ins.
● Research, draft and edit newsletters on workforce trends (e.g. apprenticeship programs, utilization of Workforce Investment Opportunity Act funding, employers engaging the justice involved population, etc.)
● Create and deliver compelling presentations (in-person and virtually) that effectively communicate information, ideas and learning objectives.
● Provide copyediting for grant reports, proposals, curriculum and communications.
● Conduct consistent outreach to member chambers of commerce via e-mail and phone/video calls.

● Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and potential obstacles; formulates and implements solutions drawing on the expertise and input of others.
● Attention to detail: Ensure delivery of high-quality work. Work products (e.g. reports, documents, files, etc.) are complete, accurate, timely and understandable.
● Adaptability: Reprioritizes work based on feedback and changing demands; proactively seeks opportunities to be supportive of change, new ideas and different perspectives
● Inclusion: Consistently seeks and engages diverse perspectives of various identities and experiences respectfully and effectively. Demonstrates self‐awareness in behaviors and actions in engaging all stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
● Knowledge of current trends and best practices in education reform and workforce development.
● Familiarity with CRM and project management tools. (e.g. Fonteva, Salesforce, Asana, etc.).
Salary Range: The starting salary for this position is $61,150-$70,000 and the full salary range for a Manager level position is $61,150-$75,600, commensurate based on experience. Job Location: This position can be performed from anywhere in the U.S. and is eligible for full-time remote work. Our team is mostly based in the Los Angeles region, where UNITE-LA's headquarters are located, working remotely with occasional meetings in the office. We also have staff working remotely from preferred locations in Illinois, New York, and Texas. Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Los Angeles region or these preferred states. Some travel will be required for this position. If located outside Los Angeles, required travel will range from 6-8 times per year.
