    JOB DESCRIPTION

    JOB TITLE:
    Administrative Assistant Temp


    DEPARTMENT:
    Public Works


    CLASSIFICATION:
    Non-Exempt


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the records filing system.
    • Prepare or direct preparation of Board and administrative documents, correspondence and policies in draft form.
    • Prepare monthly deposits.
    • Prepare utility/solid waste bills.
    • Prepare monthly deductions and keep records.
    • Prepare invoices for rock services and maintain records.
    • Prepare timesheets.
    • Prepare and maintain documents from local, state and federal agencies such as Indian Health Service, Environmental Protection Agency and Bureau of Indian Affairs.
    • Attend Board and staff meetings as assigned.
    • Prepare annual budget, track expenditures and review purchase orders and Requests for Payment.
    • Prepare monthly financial reports for the administrative office.
    • Schedule appointments for the Administrator and other staff as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and 2 years of administrative experience.
    • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
    • Be knowledgeable and proficient in P.C. word processing, spreadsheet, Internet and e-mail.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in team building and teamwork.
    • Strong organizational and customer relations skills.

    SUPERVISION:

    • Supervised by the Public Works Director.

    SALARY:

    • Annual salary range is $16.00 per hour. Negotiable, dependent on qualifications.
