    Job summary:

    To create an upscale food and beverage experience for hotel guests by providing warm and friendly service, anticipating guests needs with focus on waiting on greeting and seating guests in a cordial manner. Providing guests with professional, efficient service is of utmost importance.

    Shift requirements:
    • Evening shifts: 3pm-11pm
    Responsibilities
    • Contribute positively to the team within the department
    • Prepare for all guest requests
    • Participate in on-going training
    • Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
    • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotels needs
    • Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
    • Deliver company experience for guests / working with team members to meet hotel standards and expectations.
    • Follow up with guests in a timely manner assisting with additional services/ requests that enhance the guest's experience.
    • Must be completely familiar with all menu options
    • Seat guests providing them with a menu and information about the restaurant.
    • Obtain beverages for the guest as needed (assisting server)
    • Monitor service load throughout outlet and seat incoming parties accordingly
    • Assist servers as needed
    • Follow up with guests throughout their meal to ensure that they are receiving the experience they requested.
    • Handle customer inquiries and complaints
    • Make, cancel, and/or confirm restaurant reservations
    • Assist in controlling the flow of guests being seated within the restaurant
    • Follows guidelines established regarding age identification for suspected minors and when dealing with an intoxicated customer
    • Must be familiar with cash handling procedures to include proper discounting, Aloha system, bank procedures and tip policies
    • Display working knowledge off all menu items and prices
    • Complete side work as assigned
    • Respond to the needs and requests of guests
    Qualifications/Benefits

    Qualifications:
    • Hotel Operations or Customer Service experience preferred
    • Communicates effectively with others
    • Works productively with a team
    • Effective multitasking skills
    • Composure and patience under pressure
    • High school or equivalent education required.
    • Knowledge of P.O.S. systems. Preferably ALOHA
    • Previous Experience in an upscale/fine dining restaurant preferred
    • Knowledge of Wine Selections preferred
    • Valid TABC Certification
    • Valid Food Handler's Certificate
