    JOB TITLE: Operations Associate

    DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing

    REPORTS TO: Manager, Process Engineering

    LOCATION: HQ, Gilbert, AZ

    SALARY: $ $23.00/hr + benefits

    SUMMARY:

    As an Manufacturing Associate, you will assemble, test, and troubleshoot simple to complex mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components and assemblies, producing quality products in a timely manner. In addition, Manufacturing Associates support warehousing functions such as material moves, cycle counts, putaway and other material movement needs to support manufacturing operations.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follow Work Instructions or other provided information or directions to assemble mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components and / or assemblies to corporate quality standards.
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
    • Conduct inspections of components and completed systems to ensure quality standards are met.
    • Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence.
    • Generate and maintain accurate and legible production data, test results, and other reports.
    • Cooperate and collaborate with other departments (Engineering, Quality) to ensure efficient assembly process.
    • Participates in first time production runs of new products.
    • Test and troubleshoot systems to assist in the detection and solving of technical problems.
    • Performs a wide range of fine motor skilled tasks, working with small objects.
    • Proficient in the use of basic hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and electrical testing equipment.
    • Supports cycle count activity, inventory handling, and inventory transactions following established material procedures
    • Familiar with basic ERP functions necessary to support material handling and work order fulfillment.
    • Participates in continuous improvement exercises.
    • Maintains productive working relationships with all team members and participates in team building activities.
    • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry, machinery, and techniques.
    • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all applicable safety regulations and considerations.
    • Performs clean-up and tool inventory activities.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
    • Ensures all daily activities put safety and quality first and foremost.
    • Fully complies with all other company policies.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Preferred minimum 2 years mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical assembly experience
    • Excellent manual dexterity and hand / eye coordination.
    • Ability to identify colors.
    • Ability to read and understand work instructions, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
    • Flexibility and willingness to work to changing priorities with enthusiasm
    • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Good communication skills
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • Basic math and computer skills
    • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and precautions
    • Ability to perform physical labor
