    Welcome to The Wysocki Family of Companies (WFC) We're hiring a Precision Ag Technology Specialist in Plainfield, WI or Bancroft, WI. In this role you will serves as a dedicated resource for farm technology, including hands-on setup and calibration of equipment hardware and software, training team members on using technology, organizing and reporting of equipment data, and development of standard operating procedures. This work includes a mix of office and field tasks to be successful.

    We are a privately held agricultural operation that includes packaging. operation that plants and harvests nearly 22,000+ acres of a variety of crops including potatoes, corn, beans, and peas, with technologically advanced equipment and processes.

    What we're looking for:

    • Three plus years of related experience with Precision Ag equipment, agricultural technology, or agronomy preferred, or a bachelor's degree in engineering, precision agriculture, agronomy, soil science, or similar fields.
    • General knowledge of farm equipment.
    • Ability to do installation and troubleshooting of agricultural hardware.
    • Ability to use computer and agricultural technology software.
    • Valid driver's license and insurable driving history.

    What you will be doing:

    • Respond timely to team member requests for assistance with farm equipment hardware and software technology.
    • Serve as the primary contact for technology vendors (e.g., John Deere, Trimble, Raven, Precision 20/20).
    • Setup auto-guidance technology, including guidance lines (e.g., John Deere Systems and Operations Center), and setup files for equipment.
    • Provide oversight of planting and application controls (e.g., setup, monitoring, and repairing flow meters, seed clutching, and liquid control).
    • Define and verify field boundaries by crop, manage and prepare any boundary edits.
    • Collect and utilize operational efficiency data, working with farm management group and agronomy.
    • Setup, calibration, and utilization of yield monitoring equipment (e.g., yield monitors on combines).
    • Develop mechanisms to review application accuracy and geospatial uniformity.
    • Develop precision farming techniques, such as installation and optimization of in-field data collection systems (e.g., EC soil mapping).
    • Explore and stay current on emerging farm technologies (e.g., see-and-spray and drone sprayers).
    • Work with Information Technology department to enable data transfer from farm equipment to software systems.
    • Train operational staff on the utilization of the above tools, including building a centralized repository of technical information (including Standard Operating Procedures) to aid users as appropriate.
