    is looking for an an entry-level Accountant to join its team in Oakdale, MN.

    This position will classify, record, and summarize numerical data to compile and maintain financial records and compute, calculate, and post statistical, mathematical, and financial data.

    The successful candidate will be motivated and have strong attention to detail, high accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

    Responsibilities:
    Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
    Compiles daily and month-end accounting and general ledger entries from general ledger reports.

    Performs daily reconciliations to ensure transactions balance to the general ledger; provides accuracy and proper documentation of transactions; follows up on out-of-balance items to resolve problems as necessary.

    Gathers and calculates data and prepares various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management; ensures reports are accurate, complete, and prepared on schedule.

    Respond to inquiries or refer inquiries to the appropriate department or person and exhibit the necessary follow-through with customers and staff involved.

    Handles Fixed Asset processing and reporting.
    Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors.
    Accruals, revenue recognition & variance analysis.
    Participate in month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and budget-to-actual reports.
    Assists with inventory management.
    A Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience is required
    Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
    Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred
    Strong technical accounting/problem-solving skills and attention to accuracy
    Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including
    Excel and Word Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in an easily understood manner, tailoring the communication to diverse audiences to facilitate understanding
    Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within established deadlines and time constraints
    Demonstrated ability to act on own initiative and exercise professional judgment
    Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    Self-motivated, work independently, as well as being part of a team
    Exceptional interpersonal and motivational skills
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking/innovation
